Australia captain Will Genia said the Wallabies are determined to break their Rugby Championship shackles and take an “attacking mindset” into tonight’s showdown with South Africa in Perth.

Genia admitted he was frustrated by his lack of opportunities in the 22-0 loss to New Zealand in Auckland last month, but denies he is better suited to playing against the Springboks, where he can try and exploit some of their big forwards on the edges of the ruck.

Genia said the Wallabies camp have addressed at team meetings their precarious position, with coach Robbie Deans under pressure.

The Wallabies face the Springboks at 10.35 tonight, but before that, New Zealand meets Argentina at 7.35.
