The Wallabies hopes on winning the Rugby World Cup is on their defense.
In the much awaited game against defending champion, South Africa on Saturday in the 3rd quarterfinal, loose forward, Rocky Elsom believes the key to beat the Springboks is to defend well.
Elsom said that they know what to expect from a side they meet on 3 occasions in a year but the Boks are still a dangerous side.
In the RWC history books, all previous winners have been among the top five defensive sides at the end of the pool phase.
Those statistics could be a worrying sign for South Africa’s Tri Nations rivals Australia who have conceded 48 points and poses sixth best defend records respectively in this RWC.
In the quarterfinals this weekend, Ireland will play Wales in Wellington on Saturday at 5pm.
France will play England at Eden Park on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Australia will play South Africa in Wellington on Sunday at 5pm and the All Blacks will face Argentina at Eden Park on Sunday night at 7.30pm.
