Sacked National Netball Coach, Melissa Walker still wants to be the Coach of the National Netball team despite being given her termination letter by the Executives upon arrival at Nadi Airport last night.
Speaking to Fijivillage sports, Walker said she did not do anything wrong and is looking forward to meeting the officials to discuss things through.
Meanwhile, Netball Fiji has questioned why the Youth and Sports Ministry wants to intervene in the affairs of Netball Fiji after the Council had already come to a decision to sack Melissa Walker and Team Manager Venina Galuinadi.
President Milika Munivai stressed that Netball Fiji has its own Constitution and alleged that this is not the first time that Walker has gone against conditions in her contract adding she has discussed matters with the media that the executives do not agree with, especially the financial status of the Association.
The Netball Executives are looking forward to meeting the Sports Ministry officials on the matter.
