Wales have hinted strongly that Shane Williams will not be selected for their final World Cup Pool D match against Fiji in Hamilton on Sunday.

Williams is recovering from a thigh strain and assistant coach Rob Howley said they will not risk putting him in the run on team.

However Williams said he is recovering well and will be disappointed if he is not selected.

He started the first two games against South Africa and Samoa, scoring the decisive try in the 17-10 win over Samoa but his muscle injury kept him out of Monday’s 81-7 win over Namibia.

The Wales and Fiji match kicks off at 5pm on Sunday in Hamilton and commentary of the match can be heard on our sister station Viti-FM.

Tonight at 7:30pm Samoa meets South Africa.
