Wales Sevens head coach Gareth Williams has named his first squad after the departure of Paul John ahead of the USA Sevens in Las Vegas.

Adam Thomas returns from injury to captain the side while Dylan Morgan will make his debut.

Wales will be without key playmaker Lee Williams and finisher Chris Knight.

Wales is in Pool A with South Africa, Kenya and Canada.

Meanwhile, the USA Sevens will start this Saturday where Fiji will play Scotland in its first pool game at 1:06pm before meeting Australia at 4:02pm.

The final pool game is against New Zealand at 9:50am next Sunday and the quarterfinals will be held on the same day but the semis and finals will be played the following day, Monday.
