The results of the Rugby World Cup four years ago is what the Wales team will want to avenge in the game against the Flying Fijians this afternoon.

Although they boost a record of beating Fiji 8 times in their last 10 outings which also have a draw in last year’s Test the 2007 RWC is still fresh in the Wales players mind going into this crucial game.

Wales moved one step closer to a quarterfinal berth thanks to South Africa’s 13 5 victory over Pool D rivals Samoa on Friday night, but they will still be looking to play mistake free rugby against Fiji in their final match.

Wales will progress to the last eight by taking at least one competition point from Fiji while the islanders can only get through by beating the Welsh by 85 points.

2007 RWC coach, Ilivasi Tabua said that the team Fiji has named will try to unsettle the Wales team especially during set pieces.


After receiving heavy criticism at home, captain, Netani Talei said rugby fans will want to see some changes in the way they approach this game.
