Wales coaches have plan for erratic France
They were terrible against Tonga and inspired against England, but Wales aren’t buying into the notion of the mysterious French.
Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards said they know what the French are capable of with players like half-back, Dimtri Yachvilli.
Yachvili said while the team has beaten Wales three times in the last three years they know the Rugby World Cup is different level of competition.
In the second semifinal, Wallabies full-back, Kurtly Beale will know tomorrow whether he will play against the All Blacks on Sunday.
Beale hasn’t trained this week due to a hamstring injury and remains touch and go for the clash at Eden Park.
Australia’s coaching coordinator David Nucifora said that Beale’s hamstring was improving but the selectors were still unsure on his availability for the match.
In the All Blacks camp, assistant coach, Steven Hansen expects skipper, Richie McCaw to play in the semi-final.
Flanker Matt Todd’s appearance at the New Zealand training session yesterday led to theories that he might be brought in as cover for McCaw.
Hansen said that Todd’s presence does not mean McCaw’s foot is worse that it was or that he won’t be available against the Wallabies.
The first semifinal at 8pm Saturday will see France meet Wales and at 8pm Sunday the All Blacks meet the Wallabies and the live commentary of both matches can be heard on our sister station, Viti FM with Malakai Veisamasama and Ilivasi Tabua.
