As the first term of the school year begins on the 26th of January, the Fiji Council of Social Services is pleading to local and international organisations and countries, to not put all their eggs in one basket.
Executive Director, Hassan Khan said there are alot of other agencies who can, with their help, provide assistance to those affected by the floods, especially to school children.
Khan said right now they have only received $10,000 in aid and this is primarily for children's school books.
Khan is also appealing to school managements in areas affected by the floods to waive school fees.
