Wait for the gun to go before you start the race.

This is the advice of the Coca Cola Games Chief Organiser Vuli Waqa ahead of the competition tomorrow.

While there has been a lot of debate on why the “No False Start” rules will now be use in the Coke Games and not during the Zone, Waqa said that it is simple to let the athlete know that they have to what for the gun to go before they can start their race and anyone moving before the gun goes is out of the race.

He added that unlike in the past where the chief starter decision will be final in identifying any athlete who breaks the rules, this year they will have a track referee who will also assist in making the call.

Close to 2660 athletes will be at the TFL National Stadium when the Coca Cola Games start at 8am tomorrow.
