The 7s maestro Waisale Serevi has resigned as the national 7s coach as of today and has decided to take a break from rugby as a player.

Serevi announced his decision today after meeting with Fiji Rugby Union chief executive Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua and the Games Committee but did not give any specific reason for stepping down.

Speaking to Village Sports just after the meeting, the man dubbed as the wizard in the 7s rugby code said that after 19 years as a player and coach for the last two years, he has decided to move ahead in life.
