89 gold medals are up for grabs in the Suva Zone 1 as 37 gold medals will be for the field events and 52 gold for the tracks.

On the medal tally, currently leading in the boys division is Wainimakutu Secondary with 2 gold and 1 silver, Ratu Sukuna, John Wesley and Cathedral Secondary School are in second place with 1 gold each.

In the girls division, Wainimakutu Secondary School is leading with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze, Namosi Secondary school is in second place with 1 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze while Rishikul College is in third place with 1 gold and 1 silver.

Meanwhile Balentine Memorial School is the defending champion for the girls division and Nasinu Secondary School in the boys division.

The 200m heats are currently underway at the National Stadium.
