The planned construction of an airstrip in Wainadoi by private investors has been put on hold until a turnaround in the real estate market.
Sales director Colin Sibury said the investors have completed the close to 50 residential lots and are in the process of laying the essential services such power and water.
As part of the $10M project, an airstrip was supposed to be constructed however to go ahead was not a good move.
The Wainadoi Mountain View Estates integrated community development will see residential lots being set up as well and Wainadoi expected to become a small high state residential area.
