Former Naitasiri halfback Asaeli Naiteqe led by example as he scored Waimanu's first try in the game against Tonga in the Digicel Suva International Sevens.

The Sawani based team went on to win by 19-7 as the Sailosi Naiteqe coached side scored three tries to Tonga's 1.

In the other games held today, the Suva side proved too good for the New Zealand based Manawatu side after they won 31-nil.

It was a tit-for-tat match between Veisayasana Malaysian Fijians and Canada in the first pool game. Former Fiji 7's rep William Rasileka scored Veiyasana's first try and supported by Michael Nabuliwaqa, scored a try each to beat Canada by 19-14.

In the first game of the tournament, former Fiji 7s coach and current Wardens coach, Josateki Savou breathed a sigh of relief after his side beat the Waisale Serevi coached Papua New Guinea team by 22-7.

In other games played so far, Apenisa Dralia and Samu Bola scored a try each to help their Police side beat Western Force 21-10.

The game currently that has just ended saw USA beat Army by 15-12, the next game is between Samoa and Ratu Filise and the last match of the day today will be between Fiji Barbarians and Northern Sharks.
