The Waimanu River has burst its banks and flood waters continue to rise. The Sawani-Sera road is closed for light vehicles however situation might worsen if it continues to rain.
A resident, Vijay Chand said students of Adi Cakabau now need to leave school as flood waters are rising.
Other low lying areas in Nausori have also been affected by heavy rain. Dev Sachin from Visama Nausori said their area has also been affected by flood waters.
Korociriciri flats are also under a few feet of flood waters and are closed for all traffic.
Meanwhile, Nausori Police are monitoring the water level in Rewa river as they confirm it is rising slowly
