Thousands of residents living in Wailoku Tamavua will now be able to sleep peacefully in their homes as a police post will soon be constructed in the area to monitor criminal activities.
Regional Police Commandar Southern SSP Manoj Singh has assured the residents that Police will monitor the situation at Wailoku and ensure law and order is maintained.
Meanwhile, Wailoku Community Watch Scheme Chairperson Father Kevin Barr said following the recent spate of robberies in the area and concerns raised by the residents, a committee was formed that held talks with Police Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni.
The Police Post is expected to start its operation by April this year.
