Top schools taking part in the Suva Zone Two meet tomorrow should be wary of new comers Waidina Secondary School.

This is the first time Waidina will compete at the Suva Zone Two meet.

Previously they took part in the Naitasiri Zone but it’s cheaper for them to compete in the Suva Zone Two.

Today they surprised many students and fans at the tfl National Stadium when they won the 3000 metres final.

Suva Zone Two meet officials had the 3000 metres final today to avoid any delays in tomorrow's programme.

Waidina's Lanieta Ranadi won the gold medal in the Girls division with a time of 15.51.14 seconds.

Vaviola Babakula of Waidina took out the silver while Laucala Bay Secondary School's Adi Milika Rakaisau settled for the bronze medal.

In the boys division, Waidina's Sairusi Roko won the gold medal with a time of 10.07.12 seconds.

His school mate Alevio Turaga took out the silver medal while Laucala Bay Secondary's Paula Gonekalou settled for the bronze medal.

The Suva Two Zone meet will start tomorrow at 8:30am at the tfl National Stadium.

Suva Grammar is the defending champions in both the boys and girls division.
