The Ten Wages Councils have agreed to revisit some of its proposals on the increase in wages in various sectors after a meeting with the Fiji Employers Federation.
FEF President Dixon Seeto said the employers were seriously concerned about some of the decisions have appealed to the Wages Council Chairman father Kevin Barr and the Interim Minister for Labour Filipe Bole to reconsider some of the proposed wage increases.
Father Barr told Fijivillage that they will now relook at some of the proposed increases before the final wage increases are gazette.
The Wages council has proposed upto 20 percent increase in wages in some sectors which has strongly been opposed the employers around the country.
