The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) members are having their 8th meeting in Nadi to discuss their challenges and issues relating to the climate.
Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad said it’s an auspicious occasion as Fiji is hosting UN affiliated bodies at the meeting.
According to Prasad the organization has 185 members including Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines and French Polynesia.
The meeting this morning was opened by Permanent Secretary for Works and Public Utilities, Cama Tuiloma which will end on Thursday.
