Williams & Goslings is now in the process of contacting importers and exporters and individuals who had consignments at their warehouse in Walu Bay which was destroyed in a fire yesterday morning.
W&G CEO Fernando Lobendahn said they need to ascertain what items were being kept at the warehouse and its value.
Forensic investigators from the National Fire Authority are at the scene trying to establish the cause of the blaze and once the all clear is given, Insurance Agent for W&G are expected to move in to carry out a damage assessment before a monetary figure can be put on the losses incurred.
The fire, which started at 6am yesterday, and destroyed the warehouse building with all its contents.
Firefighters managed to save items which were situation outside the building in the warehouse yard.
Meanwhile, a two bedroom house in Korociri village in Nadi was destroyed in a fire this morning.
The NFA was informed about the fire at two this morning and upon reaching the scene firefighters found the house engulfed in flames. No one was at home at the time of the incident.
Quick action by firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to the nearby homes.
