Fiji needs to win in Scotland this weekend to have a better chance of claiming the IRB World 7s series title.

The national side is currently in second position with 122 points.

NZ lead the table with 128 points.

If Fiji is to win the series then New Zealand has to be denied a place in the finals of both tournaments while Fiji has to win one tournament then reach the final of the other tournament.

Meanwhile Nikola Matawalu has been dropped from the national 7s side for the last leg of the World 7s series.

The Hong Kong 7s player of the tournament was dropped due to disciplinary reasons.

Taking his place is non-traveling reserve player Sikeli Vuruna.

The Scotland 7s tournament will kick off this Saturday with Fiji taking on Zimbabwe at 10.36pm.

Fiji then takes on Portugal at 1.42am Sunday and Argentina at 5.37am Sunday.

The cup quarters kick off at 10.58pm Sunday, the cup semis start at 2.48am Monday and the Scotland 7s Cup Final will be played at 5.36am Monday.
