Fiji‑born and Italian number eight Samuela Vunisa is happy to replace Sergio Parisse in the Azzurri’s opening match against France on Sunday.
The Fiji‑born number eight is the man who has been selected to take the place of injured captain Parisse who is yet to recover after having a calf muscle injury.
Vunisa says replacing a hero in the team is a really humbling moment and Sergio has really helped him well.
Vunisa is playing in his first Rugby World Cup match and will win his ninth test cap against France.
Vunisa is well aware that he will need to be his own man on Sunday morning and will be playing against Noa Nakai-taci
Italy will take on France at 7am Sunday.
