Former Fiji 7s rep Marika Vunibaka will be back with 7s wizard Waisale Serevi playing for the Digicel Matai selection in the Uprising Fiji International 7s this weekend.

While announcing the team, organizer Randall Kamea said that Vunibaka has been brought in as the guest player for the Digicel Matai selection team.

Kamea added that Vunibaka’s experience together with Serevi will assist the side a lot in this tournament especially playing alongside a group of players selected by the public.

Some key players in the side include Ponipate Kato, Semesa Gonevou, Nemani Nagusa, Sailosi Rabo, James Brown, Michael Nabuliwaqa and Peni Rokodiva Jnr.

William Ryder was also named in the team but will be replaced as he will travel with the South Seas Drifters team to the Darwin 7s as the replacement for Nasoni Roko.

Meanwhile, organizers of the Uprising Fiji International 7s have now released their exclusive merchandise which is at Uprising Resort and will be available at the TFL stadium from Friday.

The Uprising Fiji International 7s will kick off on Friday at the TFL Stadium at 9am with Samoa taking on Nadroga.
