Vunibaka Ready To Lead 7s Side
Those are the words of Digicel Fiji 7's Captain Marika Vunibaka assuring rugby fans, he is ready to lead the side in their campaign to end the 9-year losing drought in the Hong Kong 7's.
Vunibaka who has not lost in Hong Kong in his last four outings with the National 7's team in the 1997 and 2005 Melrose Cup, and twice in the Hong Kong 7's in 1998 and 1999, is confident of finishing on a high note.
While it has taken him 3 years to return to don the 7's jumper and now as Captain, the former Canterbury Crusaders winger believes the task at hand is not easy especially after the recent performance of the 7's team in the last four IRB 7's series.
Vunibaka will be assisted by Emosi Vucago and Setefano Cakau.
Also the coaching staff has made one change to the side with Epeli Vuniwaqa replacing Jone Koroduadua, who was not granted a visa by the Australian Embassy.
The Fiji 7's side will jet out of the country on Monday morning.
