Digicel Fiji 7's halfback Emosi Vucago is tipped to captain the side to defend the World Games title in Taiwan next week.

Vucago was the co-captain with Vereniki Goneva when the side won the Hong Kong and Scotland 7's.

With Goneva taking up a club contract in France, it has left Vucago with the big task to guide a side that has a mix of experienced and new players.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula is expected to be in Suva today to finalise his 12 member squad, with the possiblity that either Pio Tuwai or Jerry Burotu will be named as Vucago's assistant.

Tanivula will meet with the selectors to decide on the makeup of the team before the final announcement is made.

Fiji is pooled with Hong Kong, Japan and Argentina.

The World Games 7s rugby competition will be held on the 24th and 25th of this month.
