The Electoral Commission has today indicated it could take another five to six months before voter registration for the next general elections gets underway.
While there were earlier indications that voter registration was expected to start in July, Electoral Commission Chairman M. K. Sahu Khan said this is not expected anytime soon.
Sahu Khan stressed that while they are not working on any deadline, the work of the commission to prepare for general elections continues.
