A group of concerned Fijians have started an initiative called Fiji’s Road to Gold campaign to help the Vodafone Fiji Sevens Team and the Telecom Fijiana in their financial preparation for the Rio Olympics this year.
This initiative was launched yesterday by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
The Road to Gold committee is co-chaired by Fiji Sports Council CEO Litiana Loabuka and Coca Amatil Limited National Sales Manager Lawrence Tikaram.
They will organize a series of fundraising events leading up to the Rio Olympics in August.
The Rio Olympics will take place in Rio, Brazil from August 5th to the 21st.
