Around 60 volunteers are willing to take time out to show that young people can do something different from their everyday life and to prove that they have responsibility towards the community.

These are the words of Fiji Council of Social Services National Volunteer Centre Sunflower leader Seva Tuibekana on their organised clean up drive to take place this afternoon in Suva.

The volunteers, divided into the Hibiscus and Sunflower groups, will take part in the clean-up that will start at the Suva bus stand and move through the Civic Centre corridor and along the seawall.

Hibiscus Group Leader Ema Daveta said they are setting an example for people out there to keep their environment clean.

NVC Project Officer Neil Maharaj said this is the type of commitment that will inspire others to make a difference adding they welcome anyone who wants to join them this afternoon.

The clean up drive, the first FCOSS National Volunteer Centre, will start from 4.30 to 6.30 this afternoon.
