Our biggest reward is when people say thank you.
These are the words of St John Association Spokesperson Anthony Blake who urges people to become volunteers to help the less fortunate in the country as volunteer numbers have been decreasing.
Blake said there's not much reward in being a volunteer however a simple thank you keeps them going.
Blake said tomorrow night they will be having an Awards night where around 500 volunteers will be recognised for their efforts in helping out with more than 120 events recording more than 10,000 volunteer hours, last year.
