The Fiji Men's beach Volleyball team created history yesterday as the pair of Wise Raratabu and Qilu Elliot beat Australia 2-1 to win the final of the Oceania Championship in New Caledonia.
Raratabu and Elliot lost the first set 21-18 but managed to claim the win in the closing two sets 21-18 and 23-21.
Raratabu and Elliot showed superior skills to outclass Australian supremacy in the region.
Meanwhile, the women's team of Laisiasa Gonerogo and Mereoni Lewesi lost out in the semi-finals to New Caledonia.
