Flying Fijian Flyhalf, Ben Volavola and All Blacks fullback, Israel Dagg will fight for a starting spot in the Crusaders run-on team against the Jaguares this Friday.
Ben Volavola has made a strong showing at fullback since the injury of David Havili but Dagg's experience may be something the Crusaders have been waiting for.
Coach Todd Blackadder has confirmed that Israel Dagg will play against the Jaguares this week but there was no clarification on whether he would start for the Crusaders.
Blackadder is expected to start Volavola and bring Israel Dagg in as a replacement.
He wants to test Dagg's confidence level after a long injury break.
The Crusaders play the Jaguares at 7.35pm Friday.
