Joe Vokiti of Tavua College has broken the 15 year old record in the Junior Boys High Jump in the last hour.
Vokiti had a record jump of 1.85 metres in the last hour and broke FM96 Breakfast Show host, Tony Rahiman's record which stood at 1.84 metres.
Vokiti said he was motivated to do well after the devastation by Tropical Cyclone Evan which affected his family in Tavua.
He also said that he promised his grandmother who was the most affected that he will win gold for her in this year's Coca-Cola Games.
Silver was taken by Meli Nayacalevu of Tailevu North College while Ratu Kadavulevu School's Vereti Naruku took the bronze.
Queen Victoria School's Josua Serukilagi has won gold and set a new record in the Junior Boys Discus.
Serukilagi's record throw was 48.92 metres compared to the old record that stood at 47.70 metres.
14 records have tumbled so far in this year's Coca-Cola Games.
Queen Victoria School leads the boys division this hour with 6 gold.
Defending champion in the boys division, Marist Brothers High School is in second place on the Fijivillage medal tally with 5 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze.
Xavier College is in third place with 3 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze.
Suva Grammar and Natabua are in fourth place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
Marist Brothers High School's Simione Isimeli has won gold in the Senior Boys Triple Jump, silver has gone to Peni Davuke of LDS and Sireli Bulivorovoro of Natabua High settled for bronze.
Jasper Williams High School leads the Fijivillage medal tally in the girls division of the 2013 Coca-Cola Games as Mereseini Naidau won gold for Jasper in the 3000 metres girl's final this morning.
Ana Maria of Vaturova Koroalau High took silver while bronze went to Nadarivatu Secondary School's Vasenai Ratu.
Jasper leads the girls division with 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze.
Defending champion Adi Cakobau School is now in second place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
Saint Josephs Secondary School has just moved up to third place with 3 gold and 1 silver while Xavier College is now in fourth place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
Alice Peters of Saint Josephs won gold in the Junior Girls Shot Put.
Peters dedicated her win to her grandmother.
Peters added that her grandmother was not able to watch her throw due to work commitments.
Bulou Bativunilagi settled for silver while bronze went to Jiowana Sauto of William Cross College.
In the 800 metres finals:
Osea Baleinamau of QVS took gold in the Sub Junior Boys, Sevanaia Tuiwalese of Vaturova Koroalau took silver while bronze went to Emosi Caqeua Ratu Latianara Secondary.
Gold went to Mereia Naceva of Cuvu College in the Sub Junior 800 metres, silver went to Maria Marama of Nasinu Secondary and bronze to Kalesi Bua of Vishnu Deo Memorial.
In the Junior Girls 800 metres final, Moapa Tabualovoni of Solevu Junior Secondary has taken gold, Sovaia Nakama of Wainimakutu Secondary took silver while bronze went to Salanieta Vasuitoga of Saint Johns College.
Shane Tuvusa of Xavier College took gold in the Junior Boys 800 metres, Petero Werekoro of Solevu settled for silver while bronze went to Dreketi High School's Josevata Waqatabu.
Meresiana Vukici of Jasper Williams won gold in the Intermediate Girls 800 metres, silver went to Unaisi Tinaitubuna of Lomary Secondary School while bronze went to Oripa Adicoka of Vunisea Secondary.
Farasiko Mualevu of Suva Grammar took gold in the Intermediate Boys 800 metres final, Lorima Toga of Penang Sangam took silver while Jokatama Rarasea of Nadarivatu Secondary settled for bronze.
In the Senior Girls 800 metres, gold went to Merelita Tuilawaki of Namosi Secondary.
She upset Sereima Liku of Jasper who took bronze while Viniana Dakai of Lekutu Secondary took silver.
In the Senior Boys, Epeli Batisila of Natabua took gold, silver went to Paulo Buke of Xavier while bronze went to Amenatave Ravau of Vunisea Secondary.
Batisila also broke the record with a time of 1 minute 54 seconds.
The 200 metres finals will kick off this hour.
One of the favorites for the 200 metres finals is Sisilia Seavula who won gold last night.
Seavula said she is ready for this race.
The 4x100 metres finals commence at 12.40pm today while the 4x400 metres finals start at 2pm.
