Vodafone Fiji is urging users of its Pre-paid Flashnet to register their Data SIM cards when they are registering their mobile phone SIM cards.
This follows questions from Flashnet users on whether SIM cards used in the modems of their devices are included under the Phone Decree.
Vodafone Fiji's Corporate Affairs Manager, Shailendra Prasad said the Phone Decree refers to all SIM cards regardless of whether they are for voice as in mobile phones or for data as in Flashnets.
He said Post-paid Flashnet users need not re-register as they already have their photo identification.
Telecommunications companies have been given until August 21st to register their customers or terminate the service of those who have not registered.
