Vodafone Fiji Ltd recorded a growth in it's customer numbers despite recording a 42.4% drop in profit.

In the ATH Annual Report for 2010, Chief Executive Tomasi Vakatora revealed that Vodafone Fiji being one of it's subsidiary companies achieved some positive results after their net subscriber numbers grew by 62,527 at the end of the financial year.

Vakatora said the impressive growth in customer numbers continued unabated, and by the end of the year Vodafone Fiji's subscriber base was 753,679, representing a growth of nine per cent.    

Vodafone Fiji turned in a profit of $22 million for the year ending March 31st 2010, 42.4% less than in 2009.

Meanwhile for the remainder of ATH's subsidiary companies mixed results were recorded.

Telecom Fiji registered a net loss of $6.7 million, Fiji Directories achieved a $1.1 million profit, up 11.8%, Xceed reported a modest profit while Transtel and Connect made losses.
