The Vodafone Fiji Limited malfunction yesterday afternoon forced the company into giving all their pre-pay customers $9 worth of credit costing them around $2.7 million dollars.

Manager Corporate Affairs, Shalendra Prasad said yesterday afternoon they encountered a technical problem allowing all pre-pay customers to have $79 worth of credit which led to the jamming of the network due to texts and calls all taking place at the same time.

According to Prasad, the problem has been fixed and $9 worth of credit has been given to customers free as a Christmas present for problems caused.
