The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer team defeated American Samoa 4-nil in their opening OFC Under 20 Championship match.
Fiji scored all their goals in the first half through Saula Waqa, Captain Jale Dreloa, Tony Tuinuva and Samuela Naibenia.
Fiji’s next match will be against New Caledonia at 7.35pm this Sunday.
The Championship is played on a round robin basis and the team with the most points will qualify for the 2015 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
Teams that are taking part are Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, American Samoa, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.
