Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer coach Ravinesh Kumar is hoping that players will be able to retain their determination ahead of their deciding clash against Vanuatu at the OFC Under 20 Championship this afternoon.

Kumar said this is the match that will determine their destiny and it is important for the players to keep their focus against a star studded Vanuatu side.

Looking at the scenario going into this match, Fiji just needs to beat Vanuatu today to create history and qualify to their first ever world cup.

A win over Vanuatu will see Fiji secure a maximum of 12 points and even if they lose to Solomon Islands in their last match Fiji will still lead the points table.

PNG already has a loss and a draw while Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and American Samoa all have two losses each.

Fiji will face Vanuatu at 5pm today and then take on Solomon Islands at 7.30pm Saturday.
