Tickets to the clash between the Vodafone Fiji Bati and Ireland are close to a selling out.

The Rugby League World Cup website tweeted fans that the match is the one to watch besides the Kangaroos and England game.

Fiji High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Solo Mara has sent his well wishes to the Bati and is calling on the Fijian community in the UK to come out in numbers at every game.

Team Manager Mesake Navugona said the players are all looking forward to their first game and a win will be the best way to start off the Rugby League World Cup 2013.

Navugona added that the players were shocked to see the huge number of Fijian supporters in the UK.

Fiji is pooled with Australia, England and Ireland and will take on Ireland in their first pool game at 7am next Tuesday.

England plays Australia in the opening of the Rugby League World Cup at 1.30am Sunday.
