The Vodafone Fiji 7s team received a bonus payment of $35,000 for winning the Japan 7s title and reaching the semifinals of the Hong Kong 7s tournament.

About 200 people gathered at the Nadi International Airport this morning to welcome the national side.

Captain Osea Kolinisau thanked everyone for their continuous support and the presence of the fans at the airport today.

Kolinisau said he knows everyone is disappointed with their loss to England in the Hong Kong 7s semifinal.

He said they will be preparing for the remaining two tournaments.

Coach Ben Ryan will start preparations for the last leg of the World Series next Monday.
