In an attempt to promote unity amongst the different races in the country, Fijivillage's sister radio station Viti FM has for the first time organized a Diwali Dress-up competition for its listeners.
Viti FM's programs director Malakai Veisamasama said the competition is an attempt to get the whole country into the spirit of Diwali which is the biggest festival for Hindus around the world.
Veisamasama said they are also asking all their listeners to email in their photos in the Diwali attire which will be judged at the station.
