Well known Viti FM breakfast show co-host, Momo passed away peacefully at the Levuka Hospital last night at the age of 61 after a short illness.
Akuila Verebasaga Senior or Momo as he was known, was famous for his entertaining laugh on the VITI FM breakfast show with host Maikeli Radua and Mr Bean and he won the hearts of thousands of listeners around the country and became a household name in Fiji.
Communications Fiji Limited Managing Director William Parkinson said Momo will be missed by listeners on Viti FM.
Parkinson said people of all races were entertained whenever Momo laughed and he has never come across such creativity during his broadcasting career.
Viti FM breakfast host Maikeli Radua said Momo will be really missed by listeners.
Momo is survived by his wife Bulou and 5 children and funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised.
