The vision of a Crime Free Fiji in the next two years can be achieved.
These are the words of Crime Fiji Secretariat Secretary Anare Masitabua who said that through an integrated approach Fiji can become a crime free nation by 2012.
Masitabua said they are now a people focus and are now working on strategies to contain people in their own area so that they are able to make a life for themselves in their own villages or koros rather than moving to other places.
Meanwhile the secretariat is also working with the wheel barrow boys and the street kids and as part of their programme twelve street boys graduated yesterday.
These boys were given the opportunity to learn about carpentry and joinery and the programme which had started in December last year saw these boys building canoes and coffin box with price ranging from $180 to $800.
