Visa lodging system still same for NZ
The New Zealand Immigration Office said it will continue to operate and to process visas in Suva.
And as they have already advised applicants the Office is no longer able to accept applications directly from clients or agents at its office in the Reserve Bank building.
They maintain all applications must be sent by courier or by mail with clients to make provisions for the return of their documents by pre paid courier or by registered mail.
Meanwhile, the First Secretary at Fiji=s High Commission in Wellington, Mere Tora has arrived in New Zealand to start her work.
Following his meeting with his Fiji counterpart Ratu Inoke Kubuabola in Nadi, New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully told TV NZ that New Zealand First Secretary Philip Taula will arrive next month to take up his post at the Embassy in Suva.
The two foreign Ministers say the meetings continue to strengthen staff of the missions in Wellington and Suva.
McCully said the two countries have many differences but they need to agree to disagree in the short term to avoid future expulsions.
