Violence against children is becoming an alarming problem not only in Fiji but globally and there is a need to have protective skills and prevention measures at all levels.

Those were the words of the Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children Fiji Chandar Shekhar who said child abuse is being more and more denounced now after a long silence and is becoming a public and political concern.

Shekhar said to commemorate International Day against Child Abuse tomorrow 136 countries will be dedicating the day to wearing a blue ribbon as a memorial to children who have been affected by any sort of violence.
