About a three quarter of the 54 villages in the Rewa province have sighted and discussed the draft village by-laws.
However the province will wait for the remaining villages before they could hand in their opinions and submissions to the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs office.
Deputy Chairman of the Rewa Provincial Council, Pita Tagicakiverata said some of the submissions include the reduction of the consumption of yaqona.
Meanwhile Deputy Permanent Secretary for Indigenous Affairs, Colonel Apakuki Kurusiga said he will meet with the other team members before they decide on a new due date.
Nadroga is the only provincial council together with members of the retired Fijian Teachers Association has handed in their submissions on Friday which was the due date for all submissions.
