Seven villages and one high school on Koro Island have benefitted from the bio-diesel project which was opened earlier this year by using a cleaner and cheaper form of fuel.

Vilimone Vosarogo of the Department of Energy said since the bio-diesel plant started operating in March the villages in Koro have benefitted in two ways as they have been able to sell their copra directly to the plant and also buy bio fuel which is much cheaper than diesel.
