Logani villagers in Tailevu are urging the Public works department to put up road sign along the Kings Road in between Kasavu and Logani because there a lot of sharp bends which has resulted in recent accidents.
Logani Pastor, Reverend Osea Gonewai said villagers are concerned at the increase in road accidents in the area and urge PWD to look into the matter as quick as possible
Gonewai said the tarsealed road between Kasavu and Logani was constructed by PWD and there is a lot of bend .This is different from the road in between Logani and Korovou town constructed by the Korean Company Dongsang.
A 26 year old driver of Sawani died instantly on Tuesday after the metro-mix truck he was driving went off the road and tumbled twice and last week, 40 passengers escaped after the bus they were travelling in tumbled down into a cliff.
PWD is expected to comment later on the issue.
