Close to 600 villagers of Naroi in Moala, Lau had to scavenge the hurricane ravaged island for dinner last night as strong winds and sea surges destroyed their plantations.
Post Master on Naroi, Temo told Fijivillage almost all houses in Naroi village sustained damages while two were completely destroyed.
Temo said they were still not able to assess the other side of the island as strong winds persisted throughout yesterday.
