The villagers of Serua have dismissed allegations that they were involved in the cutting of the main water supply line to a resort in Serua yesterday.

Turaga ni Yavusa, Peceli Tuisawau confirmed there was a water burst in the water pipe which is located 13 kilometers away from the village.

Tuisawau said the villagers of Namaqumaqua and the Hotel suffered from the water problems.

He denied the allegations and said it was not true.

Meanwhile, Navua Police confirmed that one of the villagers who were working at the resort were terminated for misconduct and he allegedly went to the village and brought a group of villagers with him who allegedly cut the main pipe.
