Villagers in Nadoi, Rewa, are now waiting for urgent help as over 893 people are without food and water.
Iliesa Qiokata said that at the moment most of the families have no food as all their plantations have been washed away.
He added with no food available, they don't know how they will be able to send their kids to school next week.
Similar sentiments were shared by Vanua Dina, Tokatoka, Tailevu, villager Adi Voraki who said getting their children ready for school next week will be difficult.
The farmers living in Valelawa, Labasa, are now thinking of their next source of income as they have lost their crops in the flood.
A resident of Valelawa Fozia Ayub said these farmers who depended on the sale of these crops do not know how they will send their children to school.
