A 21yr old villager of Kasavu, Nausori has died after he was brutally assaulted by a group of men on the Rewa Bridge this week.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand has confirmed the villager sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the CWM hospital where he passed away last night.
The deceased was returning from a nightclub when he was confronted by a group of men. A free for all brawl broke out and he was assaulted in the process.
According to police they have the identity of those who allegedly assaulted him and arrests will be made after receiving the post mortem report.
Post Mortem is expected to be conducted today.
